Arnie Kaye
Arnie Kaye was a local businessman in Westport, Connecticut well known for his famous battles with the town in establishing a Video_arcade in the same town.[1] The arcade, Arnie's Place, was built in 1982, and remained established until 1994. Arnie Kaye was known for his abrasive, unconventional tactics in responding to resistance from local town people, and the city counsel, when he first proposed to open the arcade. In addition to making threats to open less desirable establishments in it's stead, he gathered support by attracting the attention of local and national media, and at times employed the Hells Angels in order to attract attention and threaten local sensibilities. The arcade survived for 12 years, and was well known for its unique architecture, and balance of classic and contemporary arcade and amusement games. Arnie's Place also had a pool hall attached, and in the late 1980's also added an adjacent ice cream parlor, complete with animatronic ice cream cone characters, and other characters.
Kaye also built, on a neighboring property, the New York-style International Deli. The architecture of the deli was in the same style as the neighboring arcade. Kaye attracted similar media attention during his battle for a liquor license for the deli.
Kaye's commitment to these establishments resulted in his gaining a certain level of fame and notoriety, as well as ultimately being known by many in the New York metro as having created one of the most long-lasting, and quintessential American video arcades.

A Semantic wiki for e-Resarch in Public Health (SWIePH)
Helpful collaboration between organizations, researchers, managers including shared access to knowledge and collective intelligence success, is fundamental to the e-Research vision. SWIePH proposes to develop architecture for a Semantic wiki for Public Health research and innovation and aims to bridge gaps the information sharing, improved collaboration and innovation, by the use of Semantic Web technologies.
At its core, SWIePH comprises the ontology of the Common European Research Information Format (CERIF) to describe the meaning of research data. CERIF is the base vocabulary which provides a common set of terms. In the last ten years, semantic web technologies have demonstrated their efficacy in a wide variety of application domains.
An example is the Web 2.0, who simplified and enhanced creativity, information sharing, and collaboration among users. These concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities and hosted services, such as social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies.
They do, however, not yet offer semantic services that integrated Ontology of social reality (researchers, institutions, organizations, norms, social relationships, project and events,...) and wiki to ensure effective involvement of actors with direct interaction. SWIePH system's also includes multimedia tools like audio conferencing, video conferencing, and instant messaging.

The Ultimate Vacation

Cruise Ships
Every family wants to have a very special vacation with fun activities and events. This website tells you about wonderful vacations. For example, I believe that the best place to go for the ultimate trip is the world renown amusement park of Disney World. ==={| class="wikitable" |- ! header 1 ! header 2 ! header 3 |- | row 1, cell 1 | row 1, cell 2 | row 1, cell 3 |- | row 2, cell 1 | row 2, cell 2 | row 2, cell 3 |} Since I was 6 and my mom drove through the Disney World gates, I fell in love with the mouse. Since, our family visits Disney every 3 years, usually around my birthday. It has everything a kid could ever want. When I was little I was very afraid of big roller coasters that went fast, and spun around. There were many rides that I liked and they were fun and exciting.
Mr. Walt Disney thought that if kids were being entertained, that the parents/adults should also. So he thought of adding roller coasters and shows that would not only entertain adult, but the fearless teenagers too.
I am now much older than the first time we went, and have experienced almost all of the fast roller coasters with loops and spins. They are still scary, but that's the best part of riding coasters. Trust me, they really aren't as scary as they seem. I am now able to watch my niece, who is several years younger than me, ride roller coaster's that I would have never dared to get on at her age. My parent's still enjoy going to Disney. My mom says that she wants to go there every year, but unfortunately we cannot. As long as we continue going there, we will stay as young minded as we want. So, going to Disney World will always be my favorite family vacation.
I believe that going to Disney World is a "rite of passage" for everyone, no matter how adventurous or timid you may be. Remember, you will always be welcomed with open arms.

Lavin Guidelines
Mark Lavin of the offshore racing team, “Jesse James”, was tragically killed during a race in the 1980’s when his boat nosed into a wave (stuffing the boat). A wall of water at a high rate of speed came over the deck killing Mark Lavin. His brother and race partner Chris continued racing and developed safety guidelines to protect racers from the effects of stuffing. He installed a canopy on his boat that deflected the rush of water coming over the deck. Race clubs use the Lavin Guidelines as a requirement for all entries.
