S-adenosyl-L-methionine + adenine37 in tRNA1Val ⇌ S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine + N6-methyladenine37 in tRNA1Val

The enzyme specifically methylates adenine37 in tRNA1Val (anticodon cmo5UAC).
