Template:Other stars by Bayer designation Template:Starbox begin Template:Starbox observe Template:Starbox character Template:Starbox astrometry Template:Starbox detail Template:Starbox catalog Template:Starbox reference Template:Starbox end Phi1 Cancri, Latinised from φ1 Cancri, is a solitary,[1] orange-hued star in the constellation Cancer. It is faintly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of +5.57.[2] Based upon an annual parallax shift of 8.74 mas,[3] it is approximately 370 light-years from the Sun.
This is an evolved K-type giant star with a stellar classification of K5 III.[1] The measured angular diameter of this star, after correction for limb darkening, is Template:Val.[4] At the estimated distance of Phi1 Cancri, this yields a physical size of about 17 times the radius of the Sun.[5] It is radiating 121 times the Sun's luminosity from its photosphere at an effective temperature of Template:Val.[6]
