- phenylacetyl-CoA + NADPH + H+ + O2 2-(1,2-epoxy-1,2-dihydrophenyl)acetyl-CoA + NADP+ + H2O
Phenylacetyl-CoA 1,2-epoxidase participates in catabolism of phenylacetate in Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas putida.
