- S-adenosyl-L-methionine + malonyl-CoA S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine + malonyl-CoA methyl ester
Malonyl-CoA O-methyltransferase is involved in an early step of biotin biosynthesis in Gram-negative bacteria.
