Español: Alfabeto griego arcaico, variante occidental.
Deutsch: Frühform des griechischen Alphabets auf einer attischen Schwarzfigurenschale, um 420 v. Chr., also aus der Lebenszeit Sokrates' (469 – 399). Auffällig: Gamma hat die üblicherweise dem Lambda vorbehaltene Form, Lamba dafür die eines lateinischen L. Auch Rho hat die lateinische Form R. Nach dem Ypsilon kommt zuerst das X, hier in der Form eines Plus-Zeichens (+). Das nachfolgende Phi (Φ) hat den notwendigen Vertikalstrich nur in der auf dem Foto „unteren“ Reihe.
