In 2025, Maximus published a research paper mathematically proving the greediness of Arby's compared to McDonalds. How he did this was by using certain scales to measure greediness, calculated by percentage change.

How is greediness defined in this context? Maximus defines greediness as someone who consumes too much salt, carbohydrates, and calories. He defines this as the "absolute difference in greediness." Which is mathematically defined as follows:

$\left(\frac{|V_1-600|}{\frac{V_1+600}{2}}\right)\times 100=\delta$

Value 1 being the chosen food, 600 being the average calorie intake for 1 meal. This equals delta, which is the greediness scale.

The greediness scale is a fraction, or, a number out of 10. You can calculate this scale by formulating an equation like this:

$y=1+\frac{(x-x_1)(y_2-y)}{x_2-x_1}$

This will then give you a scale out of 10 using certain values you choose.

Maximus defines the greediness rage as $80\delta <260\delta <410\delta$. 80 being the lowest while 410+ being the highest level of greed on the greediness scale.
