The systematic name of this enzyme class is S,S-dimethyl-β-propiothetin dimethyl-sulfide-lyase (acrylate-forming). Other names in common use include desulfhydrase, and S,S-dimethyl-beta-propiothetin dimethyl-sulfide-lyase.
