The systematic name of this enzyme class is aldehyde:NADP+ oxidoreductase. Other names in common use include NADP+-acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, NADP+-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenase, and aldehyde dehydrogenase (NADP+). This enzyme participates in caprolactam degradation.
