4-O-beta-D-mannopyranosyl-D-glucopyranose + phosphate ⇌ D-glucose + alpha-D-mannose 1-phosphate

This enzyme forms part of a mannan catabolic pathway in the anaerobic bacterium Bacteroides fragilis NCTC 9343.
