(S)-2-hydroxypropylphosphonate + NADH + H+ + O2 ⇌ (1R,2S)-epoxypropylphosphonate + NAD+ + 2 H2O

(S)-2-hydroxypropylphosphonic acid epoxidase contains one non-heme iron centre per monomer.
