English: Optical configuration of a near-field stationary-sample anisotropic terahertz microspectroscopy (SSATM) instrument using THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). The linear THz polarization is rotated in the transverse plane of the propagatin beam using a THz polarizer that selects any linear polarization state from the circular polarization state generated by a THz quarter waveplate constructed of a right-angle silicon prism (cf. Fresnel rhomb)and two metal-coated planar mirrors. PBS = polarizing beam splitter, PM=parabolic mirror, M=mirror (gold-coated, planar), BS= beamsplitter. |
