Summary

Description Skyrmion-based magnetic storage concepts. In Heusler materials the anisotropic DMI stabilizes antiskyrmions (red) and elliptically deformed skyrmions (blue). These coexisting types of topologically distinct objects may encode data as ‘0’ and ‘1’ bits, respectively.
