To zdjęcie podoba mi się z kilku powodów:

• jest piękne,
• ma symboliczne znaczenie: małżeństwo, którego symbolem jest obrączka jest znakiem miłością (serce),
• jest naturalnym potwierdzeniem pewnych przekształceń matematycznych. Pierwotnie myślałem że to jest przekształcenie koła w kardioidę, ale ten cień ma 2 punkty osobliwe a kardioida tylko jeden)

Otwarta książka to słownik polsko-rosyjski. Czy te strony są wybrane losowo czy mają jakieś szczególne znaczenie? "jako że to była rocznica ślubu, wybrałem na haśle "miłość" ;-)" (Sebastian Tkacz)

I like this image very much because:

• it is beautiful,
• for me it's meaning is that marriage is a symbol of love,
• it is a natural example of some mappings: circle to non-cardioid heart curve

User Underwater has convinced me^[1] that the shadow is not a cardioid but non-cardioid heart curve^[2]. It has 2 singular points (cardioid has only one - cusp).

This opened book is a Polish-Russian dictionary.

It was a wedding anniversary so it is opend on the word "love".
