English: Scylla was among the earliest fusion reactor designs to use the theta-pinch concept, and the first reactor to produce controlled fusion reactions. The reaction area is the white tube on the right side of the image, the large copper sheet feeds power around the tube from the ten large capacitors arranged on the left (one of which is being serviced). |
