Summary
| Description |
English: A p-n junction in thermal equilibrium with zero bias voltage applied. Electron and holes concentration are reported respectively with blue and red lines. Gray regions are charge neutral. Light red zone is positively charged. Light blue zone is negatively charged. On the bottom, the two concurrent mechanism leading to the equilibrium condition (carriers diffusion and electrostatic repulsion) are showed.
