English: This image shows the first step of the Hough transform, for three points and with five possible angle groupings.
The leftmost image shows the first point being transformed. First, lines of different angles are plotted, all going through the first point. For each of the lines, the perpendicular which also bisects the origin is found. The length and angle of the support vector are then found. The values are shown in the table below the diagram. This is repeated for each of the three points being transformed. The results are then plotted as a graph, sometimes known as a hough space plot. Das linke Bild zeigt den ersten Punkt, der transformiert wird. Zuerst werden Geraden von verschiedenen Winkeln aufgezeichnet, die alle den ersten Punkt durchlaufen. Für jede der Linien wird die Lotlinie gefunden, die auch den Ursprung halbiert. Die Länge und der Winkel des Stützvektors werden dann ermittelt. Die Werte sind in der Tabelle unterhalb des Diagramms dargestellt. Dies wird für jeden der drei zu transformierenden Punkte wiederholt. Die Ergebnisse werden dann als Diagramm dargestellt, manchmal auch als hough space plot bekannt.
