English: This photograph of Hendrik Wade Bode, (24 December 1905 Madison – 21 June 1982 Cambridge), was widely distributed for reproduction and publicity prior to 1978 as Bode's official headshot. It did not include a copyright notice at the time, and no application for extension of a copyright is on record, and so it is considered to be in the public domain. There is no visible copyright symbol on the picture.
