Summary
DescriptionFundamental Circle Packings (Better).png
English: 1-Uniform Circle Packings: circles are colored by the corresponding VRPs (vertex regular planigons, or coregular polygons). This is in accordance and correspondence with Circle Ambo Packings and Planigons. Moreover, the corresponding VRPs are shown next to the circle packing labels. Finally, one circle of each packing is shaded white, which corresponds to the VRP in the exact orientation.
There is a homeomorphism between k-dual-uniform tilings and k-uniform circle packings, as all VRPs are cocyclic with common indiameter each of the side lengths of the regular polygons in k-uniform tilings. This is realized in Circle Ambo Packings and by Paul Hofmann's Dodecagram Construction.[1]
This image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}. It is recommended to name the SVG file “Fundamental Circle Packings (Better).svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
