English: Earth's rotation is the rotation of the planet Earth around its own axis. The Earth rotates from the west towards east. As viewed from North Star or polestar Polaris, the Earth turns counter-clockwise. Русский: Суточное вращение Земли — вращение Земли вокруг своей оси с периодом в одни звёздные сутки, наблюдаемым проявлением чего является суточное вращение небесной сферы. Вращение Земли происходит с запада на восток. При наблюдении с Полярной звезды или северного полюса эклиптики вращение Земли происходит против часовой стрелки. Українська: Обертання Землі — це процес переміщення точок «Земної кулі» (геоїду) в просторі. Можна виділити два основні обертальні процеси: обертання навколо Сонця (можна знехтувати розміром планети порівняно з відстанню до зірки та розглядати Землю як матеріальну точку) та обертання навколо своєї осі.
