Summary

Description
English: Between 1900 and 2020 most atmospheric carbon dioxide emissions have been absorbed by plant growth, soil uptake, and ocean uptake. How land and ocean carbon sinks will respond in the future is an area of uncertainty. Content is adapted from the 2020 Global Carbon Budget report, figure 3 (direct link: https://essd.copernicus.org/articles/12/3269/2020/#section3).
