The I, C and R components have been labeled to show their correspondence with the mass (M), spring (K) and damper components. The SS component represents both the applied force F and the velocity measurement. The SS causality has been inverted to imply effort (force) output and flow (velocity) input to the system. The C component remains in integral causality, but the I component is now in derivative causality; the R component still imposes an effort (force). |
