In geometry, the elongated pentagonal gyrobicupola is one of the Johnson solids (Template:Math). As the name suggests, it can be constructed by elongating a pentagonal gyrobicupola (Template:Math) by inserting a decagonal prism between its congruent halves. Rotating one of the pentagonal cupolae (Template:Math) through 36 degrees before inserting the prism yields an elongated pentagonal orthobicupola (Template:Math).

Formulae

The following formulae for volume and surface area can be used if all faces are regular, with edge length a:[1]

V=16(10+85+155+25)a312.3423...a3
A=(20+52(10+5+75+305))a227.7711...a2
