Suspected sockpuppets

In Chinese Wikipedia, it is (technically) confirmed that Juliettkilolima is a sockpuppet of TEntEn4279, though TEntEn4279 refute to be Juliettkilolima. Juliettkilolima and Golfhotelindia (blocked indefinitely for username issue) are possilikely per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dragoon17cc. I have made this request to check if there're WP:GHBH issue. Note TEntEn4279 have commented the previous SPI. GZWDer (talk) 22:02, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

Maybe Template:Ping is interested of this result.--GZWDer (talk) 00:18, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Suspected sockpuppets

Golfhotelindia was blocked as promotional username here. But in zhwiki it's suspected as a sockpuppet instead - Golf, Hotel and India are NATO phonetic alphabet for G, H and I; User:Alphabravocharlie and User:Deltaechofoxtrot are confirmed as sockpuppets of Dragoon17cc in zhwiki. Note Dragoon17cc may be stale but the first two are non-stale confirmed socks. GZWDer (talk) 10:49, 22 August 2017 (UTC)

Template:Ping Please note that the user you blocked is suspected as a sockpuppet of User:Dragoon17cc at zhwiki instead.1024279計算過程 11:59, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
And also,it's not a promotional user name,it's a sockpuppet-user-name pattern based on NATO phonetic alphabet.1024279計算過程 12:05, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
TEntEn4279 - HA! That's funny! The username came back as promotional to me because I did find a golf Hotel located in India when searching. That's why it has this exact block. Thanks for pinging me about this; I was unaware that the username was part of a sock puppet ring. Given what I've just read in this SPI, the NATO phonetic alphabet is clearly what this username was using :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:17, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
It's apparently a pattern,"User:Alphabravocharlie"(ABC) and "User:Deltaechofoxtrot"(DEF) are confirmed as sockpuppet of User:Dragoon17cc in zhwiki,and "Golfhotelindia"(GEF) is the next part of the pattern,it's likely a sockpuppet of Dragoon17cc.1024279計算過程 12:39, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
Note Chinese Wikipedia CheckUser gave a strange result - see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TEntEn4279.--GZWDer (talk) 22:04, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

  • I would take cues from zhwiki on this. Although I can give you a Template:Possilikely there is very little to compare here on enwiki. Template:User = Template:User, but *appears* Template:Unrelated to the rest. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 15:10, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
  • Golfhotelindia and Juliettkilolima are already blocked as sockpuppets of another master. As for the others, as Amanda alias DeltaQuad says, there is very little to compare here on enwiki. Nevertheless, combining what little behavioural evidence there is with the "possilikely" CU result, the user name similarity, and the Chinese Wikipedia results, I am convinced that they are all the same person. However, I am not sure whether it is justified to block them, because as far as I can see the editor has not used the multiple accounts abusively on English Wikipedia. I am leaving this investigation open, to see whether anyone else has any comment to make concerning that. It is possible that, even among such a small number of edits, there is something abusive there that I have missed. • Blocking the remaining three accounts per [1] [2], the naming similarities, and the fact that Template:U is blocked, so this is evading. Template:Clerk request Please merge the two cases. ~ Rob13Talk 18:04, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Template:Clerknote Given that Template:Noping is the oldest account by years, I've merged everything here. I couldn't straight histmerge Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ZEdzEd3168 here due to overlapping edits but I moved that archive under Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dragoon17cc/Archive before archiving this case so that both archived cases are found in the same place, which is mostly what matters. Suspected sockpuppets

ZEdzEd3168 has declared that he is unrelated to Dragoon17cc, concerning the input of the admin, a CU is required. B dash (talk) 06:09, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

  • I'll be interested in this CU result. For the record, there is a LTA page for Dragoon17cc at the Chinese Wikipedia, which doesn't seem to be mentioned in this SPI archive. It appears that the connection between Template:Noping and Template:Noping (previously Template:Noping) were never directly linked; rather, they have been connected through accounts that are related to Dragoon17cc. • For such a short archive, the history of this case is remarkably confusing. Both of the accounts above have been blocked. Putting aside the Chinese wiki, which I have not and will not look at, I don't see any finding that these two accounts were confirmed to each other. We don't reopen SPIs to handle appeals by blocked editors. Although a CU was not requested here properly, it's obvious one is wanted. Such a request can be made at either or both of the users' Talk pages. Closing.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:13, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
