- dimethyl sulfide + O2 + NADH + H+ methanethiol + formaldehyde + NAD+ + H2O
Dimethyl-sulfide monooxygenase has lower activity with diethyl sulfide and other short-chain alkyl methyl sulfides.[2][3]
