Mandelbrot set

The Mandelbrot set is a fractal that is defined as the set of points in the complex number plane for which zn+1=zn2+c with z0 = 0 does not tend to infinity. The Mandelbrot set was first defined by Pierre Fatou in 1905, and first plotted on computer by Benoît Mandelbrot. The color reflects the number of iterations it takes to reach a certain distance from the origin.
